How Hardwood Flooring Fremont Works
Hardwood Flooring Fremont installs, refinishes and repairs wood floors in Fremont and the surrounding East Bay: Newark, Union City, Hayward, Milpitas, Pleasanton and the towns in between. The work ranges from a single water-stained board by the dishwasher to a whole-house installation of new oak.
Every job starts at your house, not over the phone. We look at what is on the floor now, what is under it, and how the rooms connect. We take moisture readings of the wood and the subfloor, check for soft spots and squeaks, and measure the actual square footage, including closets and hallways. If carpet is covering an older floor, we ask to lift a corner in a closet so we can see what is there before anyone quotes a refinish.
You then get a written quote that lists each room, the work, the product or finish, and the price. If the floor needs a decision, such as sand and refinish versus a screen and recoat, or solid versus engineered planks, the quote explains both so you can choose. Nothing starts until you approve it, and any change in scope is agreed with you in writing first.
How we work
- Moisture readings on the flooring and subfloor before installation or refinishing.
- Furniture moving, dust control and room sealing are discussed and listed in the quote.
- Finish choices explained: water-based or oil-modified, sheen, stain color and cure times.
- Condo and HOA paperwork, such as underlayment specs, handled before we schedule.
- Payment only for work you approved in writing.
